Mankind Hits Peak Idiocy

It's gone about as far as it can go without a major war starting.

Our advice is PACK YOUR RICE. ITZ COMING.

All previous civilizations reached this exact state at the tenth generation. They went stark raving nuts and everything that happened they brought upon themselves.

Roman senators who stood up and shrieked that the treasuries were empty, the empire could afford no more wars and no more unpaid mercenaries, were shouted down as fools and condemned as needless alarmists. The publicans threw rotten fruit at them in the street and decried their lack of patriotism.

ALL THIS HAS HAPPENED BEFORE. SAME PLAY. DIFFERENT ACTORS. I'VE SEEN THE SCRIPT WHICH IS HOW I KNOW WHAT THE STORYLINE IS IN ADVANCE.

Speaking of reading about this happening before

I was reading an article on a Antifa website basically saying they need to ramp up their attacks on the Nazi's whom have formed militant groups to violently oppose them (Antifa). I was thinking - "err, isn't this Weimer republic all over again?" Communist gangs attacked their political opponents, the Nazi's formed the Brown Shirts to protect themselves and the rest is history

Sodomite Empire of Fail: entry #2579

Too many bombs used to kill civilians, or "human shields" as what they are called when the US kills them, obviously "ISIS" is using civilians as "human shields" only when the US bombs them:

The only chance the US has to hit an actual "terrorist" is when he lays down his arms and becomes a civilian:

What do you think of emerging technologies like AI/Blockchain? I think they might save humanity's bacon with some serious eugenics and that the fears are overblown. There's a great community of entrepreneurs who largely agree with Vault Co but are working towards a more feasible R-type solution than living in a bunker.

I know you weren't asking me but if a tribe of people slightly smarter than the average person can cause so much destruction what do you think a machine that just one of has the thinking power of a village and no conscience at all will do? If a AI is built and it has conscience then it will exterminate the Jews if it doesn't have a conscience then it will still exterminate the Jews as they run so much it will see them as competition. So we may get rid of the Jews but it won't do us any good as we'll be gone too.

Winter has truly come. Latest from Felix at Ice Age Now; I knew it was cold on the West Coast, gardening has been a bitch this year. Amazing that the honeybees are recovering just in time, had an unmedicated hive make it through the winter. But our farmers in the prairies aren't able to get crops in the ground, and didn't get crops out of the ground last year. Funny, winter came right around the time that Game of Thrones episode ended the season with "Winter has come". Were the show writers indulging in ritual magic?

Well, I'm in USDA zone 6a and I keep a record of my planting schedule and general temps. We're still in a cold, late spring here compared to the past three, four years. Nothing unusual or out of historical norms but each time this happens, we have a wet, cool summer and a shorter growing season. I'm not taking my local weather as any great indicator yet. The lack of sunspots is of greater worry, but over the past few years I've begin to grow cold-hardy crops, and this year I've done indoor planting with LEDs to light the seedlings. I'm looking to hook into solar for the grow lights. With a simple ebb and flow hydroponic system, I could grow greens and some veggies all winter long...however long that happens to be. I also prepare by using no-refrigeration methods of preserving food. Lots of good books and info on the subject out there. You need to have a way to dry and/or salt food. Rice is not enough.

MAJ, that's weather for you. I'm in 8a, and our spring came very early, very wet, and we've been remarkably mild since. For us, a mild wet summer is a fantastically long growing season (since we are usually fighting drought and our plants getting burned by the sun.)

Warming will mean us being able to inhabit a lot more of the planet, while cooling will mean that it gets mighty crowded here in the 7s and 8s.
