U.S. Capacity To Fight The Next War Is Nonexistent

The country's tech looks like a ring toss run by an orang-utan.

Hasn't been a good engineer born in America for a couple of generations. The last of the good ones are mostly retired. Metrosexual hipsters are good at hacky-sack but military armament design, not so much.

The F-35 is a dog though. It's got great all around sensors but it's slow. The reason is exactly the same as the F-111. Too many missions for one plane. A Swiss army knife is great but it doesn't do anything exceptionally well.

I think it's quite likely that the US has a lot of weapons that no one will see until we're in a major war.
