1.5 Million Hits On Vault-Co

That's a lot of hits for some obscure web site with no advertisements run by some rambling halfwit.

I think the old site (Vault-Co 1.0) got at least a million hits in it's existence. That was a lot of hits too.

Anybody think the content is getting old here? I wonder sometimes if people are starting to feel if you've read one post by Tex you've read them all. I am curious about that.

The site was set up for three reasons in 2003:

  1. Post a warning about changes in the world to say I did my part to let others know.
  2. Provide a venue for all the crazy ideas I kept to myself for about 40 years.
  3. Try to create a place on the web where all the most interesting links (for the likeminded) could be found.
That's it. No lofty ambitions otherwise, never even really planned to make money on the site and never attempted to.

You have definitely achieved all three. I started reading your site about 2.5 years ago, and have read through the majority of your posts since 2003, and it's still my favorite place on the internet.

I wouldn't say the content is getting old, but personally I would like to hear less about the news (like you say, it'd be boring without a regular change of actors) and more about your crazy ideas. The different races of men, the electric universe, your interpretations of scripture, etc. Programming stuff too.

All I can say is thank you for the ground-breaking content. It really does provide a better view to what's going on in this crazy world. There's just too many lies and we have to gather all the effort we have just to get a few scraps of solid info to keep the mind alive.

No worries, keep it coming. It's never exactly the same since you are learning more about Neanderthal, the Melonheads, etc all the time. The site allows us to come on the journey with you.

I have arrived at a point where weekly exposure to your posts has allowed me to imitate you with 90% accuracy. Whenever I'm reading news of any kinds, I instantly what your opinion on it would be. I guess 'thals do think alike.

Anyway, congratulations, Cleve. I wonder how many frequent readers you have. And how many of them are employees of government agencies. Remember not to attract too much attention.

I just hope you get your book finished in less time than your game.

Maybe - if you are getting bored saying similar stuff - you could have a boilerplate post, linking to different posts you did in the past.

btw, the Neanderthal thing is really, really profound. It has helped me a lot to understand the world. thanks

Site is great. I followed old one from the start but did not comment much. I easily believe you have 183 IQ. I am pretty certain average world IQ is not even 83.

"sense of justice fully driven by reason not emotion". This is a good explanation for why the world is deteriorating, and could make a good Tex Arcane post.

Take a look at these studies, one on neanderthal brain growth, one with the silly conclusion "poverty causes brain damage".

Basically neanderthal brains at birth were the same size as humans (maybe even smaller) but they very rapidly grew after that to be much larger. Which is also one of the main differences (along with growth spurt) between humans and chimps in development.

Then you look at the graph between upper class, middle class, and lower class brain development. Strikingly, the lower class people start off with LARGER brains than the upper class. They also show a more or less linear growth rate. The upper class people who have much larger brains show a very early growth spurt - just like neanderthals.

In other news Mex Arcane's Fault Co site has cracked 1600 hits, I know he hasn't been around as long but I think tricking him into using courier font back in March has really held him back.

Damn devilish Tex, switching to courier font just long enough for Mex to copy you and then switching back to your original font has blown him out of the water, but he's not done yet I fear.
3 million years of Australopithecus genes are going to be a tough combination to beat.

@Grognard - luckily sperm whales have much bigger brains so they're the dominant species... oh wait.

No. Post what you want; I stop by here because you are interesting, regardless of the topic.

Don't change anything Cleve, I enjoy the site as it is. With world war 3 approaching won't you have plenty of material to work with as well as bunker construction tips to pass on?

I started coming here after I read some of your posts at the codex last year (I think it started with one about the L.A. riots). Hilarious yet thought provoking stuff. I know when I am compelled to listen to someone, they may be on to something. It's that whole intuition thing, that steers men right a midst oceans of disinfo and "rational" advice from winnarz.

Tough to beat indeed, Christopher. Like the crabweed that shows up every time Mr Texas tries to stand back and admire his lawn.

We've also generated about $5 to date with our Fault-Co blog, whilst Mr Texas has yet to turn a buck. Given the difference in visitor stats, that's about five grand that he could have made by now. That kinda coin buys a lot of crushed rock backfill. I guess you could say we just run a more efficient operation altogether. Compared to our sluggish Neanderthal cousins, the humble Australopithecus does more with less. The Jim Penman of protohominids. Watch and learn, my son.
