VAULT DWELLERS SERVED

This Cannot Be Fixed

The tenth generation is always the last.

They herald the Kali Yuga, the coming of the end cycle. No human being has ever been able to interrupt this cycle and no human being ever will as long as mankind themselves remains the same creature.

This is the time where the survivalist, the vault dweller, excels. Carl Jung described them as the anti-hero,  the protagonist who is the vessel that carries forward the best values of the civilization that sinks into flames.

In all the ancient mosaics at the far right corner there is always the little group fleeing the destruction whether on foot, in a little boat or else all descending into a hole in the earth. Behind them there is only fire, darkness and evil. The feeling of transition is what draws the observer into such vistas but only if they identify with the people depicted as surviving this Ragnarok.

Sad. A lot of people, including yours truly, have been misled. Yes, I do agree that people should "know better" but knowing what you ought to know better is a tough nut to crack sometimes.

A part of the last few generation will be permanently lost, won't they? I only hope enough of a remnant can be saved to make a new people who leave this foolishness behind them.

But change? Saving the West? I don't think it can be done. Time can be bought, but the credit line grows short. Outright collapse and rebuilding is needful.

Theory: While or after viewing a disaster on film, it's always a librul or similarly constituted viewer who remarks upon all the unshown people who must have burned in the fires, drowned in the deluge, or were trapped in the buildings when they collapsed. Real humans focus on the heroes' exodus, exodus from a threatening environment being a re-occurring trope in epic/heroic/adventure narratives. Focus via identification? Mediums change, but homonid nature does not.
