I am new to your blog and I was wondering if you could elaborate on some of the memes here. I have read through several pages of older entries and I am still not quit sure what "kwanstainia" is. It seems to refer to the US, but what does it come from or refer to?

Melonheads? I read the everything's electric article linked from the sidebar about elongated skulls of Egyptian rulers and I see your post on "deformed skulls fouind in tombs of royalty". I detect an animosity towards "melonheads" in some posts, though, and I am not sure why. Or i could be reading into it, maybe I'm a closet "cranist".

You seem to have a special fondness for neanderthals, but that huffpo piece in the sidebar was not at all convincing as science, journalism or anything other than a glorified "tell us about yourself" from the author, well, maybe a sales pitch for the author's mailing list. Is there an elaboration somewhere?

I have found your posts interesting and I am genuinely curious on these points.

It didn't take long for the word 'meme' to be cannibalised, about four years by my count.

All of those 'memes' are terms coined by Tex to make his writings more interesting and personal, most satirists create a language or word set associated with their world views. Conceptual Continuity, that is what makes this blog a long term gem.

A real meme is an idea that is realised at the same time without each individual knowing about each others exact same idea or invention.

The Wright Brothers, and E=MC2 are examples of many people having the same idea at the same time all over the planet without each others knowledge of each others ideas or inventions.

'Kwanstainia' is in reference to the highly socialized birthplace of Tex - America.

My understanding; one part Kwanza, one part shit stain on humanity / history...

'Melonheads', think manipulative, 'elitist' rulers back in the day.
A quick Google search found this fascinating article :
