Ignoring Reality Can Be Fatal

Pretending the walk light is green when it is red, pretending the pool is full when you leap from the high dive board and it is empty for the winter, pretending that sand is just as good to drink as water if you are on a desert island ... it is all the same to reality, which will kill you for being stupid.

... but don't take my word for it. We don't know what agenda reality has. It might be running some kind of scam on us with the help of fake lobbyist groups and paid advertising propaganda.

When I was in 8th grade, like those young people Roberts writes about, I had this stuff figured out. That was in 1989, and due in no small part to my wickedly intelligent HS dropout grandfather and HS dropout uncle who warned of the consequences of sending so much manufacturing overseas.

My uncle also warned me about Nutrasweet and said never, ever consume that stuff, it was about mind control and keeping people sick.

I don't understand how people can NOT see the long term consequences of off-shored labor. Did they think they were smarter than anyone else who tried it in the past?

Change happens. Progress, not so much.
