Nine Years After Our Prediction On Vault-Co, First Terminator Units Roll Off The Line

They're here and if the prototype is any indication then the production model is going to be nightmarish.

If you think the military is funding this program with billions committed to mass production so that it can save you from a "crumbling building," you deserve to live beneath the boots of these tyrants.

More likely this 'bot will be firing on you as you attempt to escape a burning building. Waco with the grunt work done by the 'bots all over the planet.

Either this or ED-209.

At least for now these things are still tethered to a big power cable to the wall.

Power & batteries would appear to be a major shortcoming for these things. After-all, look how large an electric car battery pack is...

Also have to wonder, if you put a mere large heshen bag over this things head; is it smart enough or agile enough to do anything about it?

They will totally help old ladies cross the street. You know, like in the robocop promotional vidya before the real thing came out and killed everyone.

When you no longer need the loyalty of troops you can truly do whatever the hell you want. Autocrats of the world all love conscription but this eliminates all their manpower needs. Everyone but the inner circle can now just starve.

Does it make me a bad man to say, I can't wait to get one of these things for my very own?

For now at least, these things still need human intervention to be manufactured, maintained and mobilised.
So if the robots are too 'hard' to eliminate, just go after the soft human logistics troops behind the robots.
Then through lack of maintenance and support, the robots will fail on power & functionality.

Always more than one way to skin a cat.

Soon as I saw this I started thinking of ways to defeat it. Paintball guns. Blind it.

Once it's developed, anyone can keep it going. Hence moving all of industry to 3rd world.
