Holocene Ends With Shutdown of Gulf Stream

Hot air trapped in the south, cold air circulates in north. This is exactly what Robert Felix predicts in his book NOT BY FIRE BUT BY ICE.

There is reasonable evidence to believe a magnetic excursion or reversal occurs every 12,000 years in synchronization with this shutdown. Is that what comes next?

In any event, the Holocene is over. That is a mouthful when you say it and you know why if you have been reading Vault-Co for any length of time.

UPDATE : It is so simple even British people could figure it out.

I'm sure you've seen this on Drudge already, but I'd like your take on this:

"He says Neanderthals were not the lumbering brutes of the stereotype, but highly intelligent. Their brains were roughly the same size as man’s, and they made primitive tools.

He believes his project could benefit mankind.

He told German magazine Der Spiegel: ‘Neanderthals might think differently than we do. They could even be more intelligent than us."

Modern "science" is the biggest racket in history:

Well, I think you are correct about Homer Simpso... I mean Homo Sapiens: I-can-create-Neanderthal-baby-I-just-need-willing-woman and some commenters you might consider.

A single cloned Neanderthal wouldn't be an adequate indicator of what the species were like. The cloned individual could be anywhere on the scale from Forest Gump to Wernher von Braun - without enough other Neanderthals to compare with, you wouldn't know if the first cloned individual was above or below average in any measurable way.

Also, could you imagine being raised as a scientific freakshow exhibit, with a bunch of pindick celebrity-scientist-authors interviewing you every five minutes from the earliest time you can remember? Particularly if the introvert aspergers-neanderthal theories are true, then this would not play out well.

"As we stuck a camera up his ass and asked him to complete another rorschach test in the bright happy-happy surroundings while I posed heroically alongside a hardcover copy of my latest book, the Neanderthal demonstrated an inexplicably hostile and anti-social tendency. From this we can conclude that..."

I just moved 4 hours across the state of Colorado. In my home town, it was -14 degrees when I left for work last week. In my new town, it was 53 degrees when I left for work this morning. The high was 63 today. In Denver. In JANUARY. Fishy.

Arctic summers are always miserably hot, brief and then followed by so much damp it is impossible to grow crops, Charity. This is the reason nobody cultivates up there despite rich soils.

Any thoughts about blowing up the Isthmus of Panama to help the gulf stream circulate again? Would keep the planet warm again. All it would take is a few nuclear warheads which we already have. Just evacuate the citizens and stuff, let her rip, and create a 5 mile channel.
