Worldwide Famine One Harvest Away

Babies, the other white meat. 7 Billion people and nothing to eat.

This year they have food stamps. Next year, unlikely they will have anything.

Blight has killed more people than all the wars combined throughout human history. Blights have preceded wars and made their aftermaths apocalyptic.

Cyanobacteria can take care of the ocean, blight will take care of the shore.

Kwanzanians will comport themselves poorly, rest assured.

Marc Faber on the raw butthurt in store for the West.

Confrontation with China inevitable as the 'Stain goes down the drain.

They're makin' a list, they're checkin' it twice, they're gonna find out who's naughty and nice ... Blankfein is the first name on the list.

re:"New strain of cyanobacteria"
My response as a conservative and a Christian is this:
a) If you (the anonymous "you")as an environmentalist are concerned and upset about this new disease, why?: this is merely part of the evolutionary process: who knows - you don't - what higher life form may come into existence; or if the affected life forms will evolve into hardier species?
b)Furthermore, you evolutionists, your gods are Time and Chance and, behind them, sleeps Chaos: so why are you rebelling against what your gods have brought forth?
c)Many of you evolutionist go further and speak of nature as Nature or Gaea; therefore, what is it to you that She conceives and brings forth something new? Do you not trust your Goddess?
d)More so, do not you evolutionist/environmentalists view the human race as a cancer on the face of Mother Earth; a cancer which you believe should be eradicated: so why should a cancer care about a secondary infection? And if this new strain of cyanobacteria in the end wipes out a major portion of the human race, isn't that a good thing from your perspective?

Time for practical preparing lessons from the Vault.

You've told us "pack the rice" etc etc. I know others that think wheat is the way to go. But man cannot live on rice alone, and modern wheat is flat out a killer.

How about a post on what you recommend as far as food preps?

As for me:
Rice (white lasts longer, but HUGE glycemic index)

Beans

Pemmican. Half beef tallow and half meat. Made properly will store for 20 years. And you can literally live off the stuff.

Coconut milk in cans. Golden Star brand. Wal-Mart, $1.47 a can. No other ingredients but coconut milk and water. High in good fats.

Sardines in olive oil (not soy oil). Keep a very long time.

Dehydrated vegetables. Keep forever. Lighter than canning.

Wht say you, Tex?
