British Paying 49% More For Basic Staple Foods

Climate is cold, wet and suffers from repeated sudden frosts spoiling crops

Sorry, looks like this planet is converting to a game of musical chairs with enough chairs to go around for 10 people in 100. The rest of them starve if they have to pay these kinds of rates for basic foodstuffs.

While I'm sure climate is having an effect (it always does), this article/video is confusing real value increase with nominal value increase: All the fiat currencies of the West are losing value at a Weimarian pace and that is accounting for most of the price (or nominal value) increase.

"All paper money eventually returns to its intrinsic value - ZERO." -Voltaire

People aren't noticing how rapidly their monopoly money is losing value because all the price increases are being blamed on AGW and Peak Oil, yet if we compare the price of oil relative to gold or silver (aka real money) we see that oil is the cheapest it's been in 40 years.

So to get a better idea of the rise in the real value of food, you should compare it relative to gold or silver, not British funny money.

britain produces more agricultural goods per year than we do here in australia, but in saying that they have 4 times the population but only 1/30th of the land mass of australia.

The Food Shortage is an Aesthetic whim. Two days ago I pulled 240 Buckets of Zucchinis of the packing belt to feed the cows, the cows eat better than most Africans. The food shortage is a cosmetic problem. And I pray they all end up paying $10 for 1 tomato. Starve you Plebs Starve.

In my world there is so much food it is a case of what do you want to eat today.
