Tex, for those in the know; they would gladly concede that you (vault-co) have been very accurate for a long time. I've thoroughly enjoyed coming here for much needed doses of reality--but you've got to get off of this "I told you so" trip. Do you want to be the last guy standing just to be able to say "See, I was right" ???NEWSFLASH! Not everybody can afford a vault. Most people have their hands full paying their rent. Not much leftover to put a mini-nasa station in your backyard. So it's not out of indifference to current events but more practical application to deal with it (or lack thereof).Just curious. Is there really a totally safe place to put a vault nowadays? I mean, is there a place on earth where any or all disasters can not get you? (in or out of a vault)? Is a vault anywhere in Japan right now any good to anybody there unless they plan on retiring underground? It just prolongs the inevitable a little bit longer. Man (individually or corporately) can not save himself. Jesus has to do it--that happened 2000 years ago at the cross and it's still the only way.Love you man!The best thing I've gotten from your blog is that scripture is %100 accurate. I'm sticking with that."And lo, I will never forsake you or leave you--even until the end of the age"-Jesus.
No man knows the hour. Until then, every man should take responsibility for his life and the lives of those he loves. The Lord causes the rain to fall on the just and the unjust.Any skill, strength or insight a man has was given to him by his creator and he should employ it for good. Our knowledge of shelter construction and underground survival is a gift of God to our ancestors and we are to respect our mother and father. We should heed God's warnings and take action to protect ourselves like Noah, it will be counted to us as righteousness to fear God.Until I get Vault-OS released, most people think it may be some kind of elaborate joke. The truth is, I might be the only person on the planet capable of creating something like it and giving it away for free - maybe this is the plan God has for my life. Especially that feeling that I may be doing the world a great good to develop something like it. I think the day I put version 1.0 of the open source up on SourceForge might be the happiest day of my life. I believe God works through every human being like this stealthily, combining all the streams of their lives into some grander pattern that none of us can possibly comprehend. I believe that 38 years ago when I was given the last radiological certificate in Nebraska, something that meant nothing to anyone but me at the time, God was planning for me to write VAULT-OS three decades in the future.Crazy, I know. I think the Lord really does work in mysterious ways.
