Vaults Proliferate Like Crazy - Where is the automation system for the civilian?

Vault-OS V1.0 is on the way. It's going to blow your mind. As usual, I make this stuff look easy. You'd never guess it took about 8 years of tinkering to figure out the right way to do it.

Go to a big privately run Bunker when SHTF?
Bet they would lock the door once the owners and their mates were in, and damn those who invested in their scheme.
Reminds me of Fallout 3, and the spot outside Vault 101's door, where the skeletons are laying there with placards saying "let us in"
Find/build your own; and tell no one you cannot trust.

Most of us will have to settle with tunnels, bugs, and mud. I'm not sure if you call that lucky...
If you make it, most likely you will be hunted down either for food or sport, probably both.
Also, you can trust nobody. Would your brother kill or steal from you to feed your nephew? Maybe he starts thinking...

Maybe he resents you and thinks his son is more important than you.

Maybe your battle buddy has family, maybe they are more important to him than you.

Food, shelter, and water etc means survival.
Millions here in the states would kill for a safe spot when shit hits the fan.

Think so and so is going to stay around when the lights and food are gone?

Think your neighbor wouldn't give you up to raiders, remember once he saw you have canned goods, bags of rice, jugs of water, from the store some months back?

Most likely, under the WRONG circumstances you/others might do anything.

I personally have a strong sense to help my family and a few others the creator has put into my life recently. Good luck. : )

"Hey Tex, you should design a (Pip Boy) to interface with your vault. How many bottle caps would that set me back"?
Sweet, sweet, vault-tec...

"Fear is the mind killer".

Post above, I'm glad to see you are at least thinking about these things. Fortunately, I was thinking about them more deeply two decades ago.

One thing to keep in mind is that people who aren't in belowground shelters won't live long enough to be much trouble to those who are. A couple thousand rads an hour of background radiation means you should cancel your noon appointments because you won't be able to attend.
