Sinabung Only The Beginning?

Three eruptions in Indonesia in two weeks. Toba, the site of the largest supervolcano explosion in the history of the planet, is only 30 kilometers away. That's practically next door for volcanic flows.

Think of the past ten years on Vault-Co as the long climb up up a rollercoaster in rattling cars with some village idiot in the back (me) screaming "we're all going to die!" the entire way to make it more exciting and suspenseful.

Hold your hands in the air, because we're getting ready to go over the top.

The Last Hours of Kwanzania

There's nothing in Fort Knox and everybody knows it.

That Russian analyst was right. 2010 is the final year for the Kwa.

They will never permit this audit. The Kwanzanians would discover their entire country has been looted from the inside out and is just a dried-up rotten husk of a nation. That's time to switch from the ballot box to the bullet box. They will do everything in their power to prevent anyone independent from entering Fort Knox without supervision and carefully controlled conditions.

Ozonating Underground Spaces

I got my ozone generator unit (3 liters a minute, 500 Sq ft treatment) and I am wiring it for remote control and monitoring via Vault-OS.

This was part of my grand slam plan for this year - to annihilate the mold, mildew and fungus, completely waterproof the entrances and sterilize the interior of Firehold Bravo and Sparkgap pursuant to reinstalling Vault-OS automation, moving my new food rotation down there and getting my shelter ready for long term inhabitation at a moment's notice.

A terrific thing about ozone generators is that the same generator can be used to treat water or to treat the air, simply by using valves. Bubbling ozone through water storage at regular intervals is an excellent way to keep your H2O pure and sterile.

For general purification of living space, O3 cannot be topped. It turns so many different bad things into good or neutral things it is difficult to list them all. Basically, ozone takes environments that may be less than optimum for humans and makes them optimal.

It's just important to remember that ozonation of air should be done with humans absent. The oxidation that is part of ozonation can be harmful to lungs, throat, eyes and blood in concentration. As a strategy for keeping underground shelters ready, it should be employed at regular intervals when the shelter is unoccupied. Flooding the shelter with ozone and then waiting for it to stabilize into inert solids guarantees the resulting environment will be abiotic when the time comes for you to move down there. There is extensive evidence that during the Cold War, all nuclear shelters that were staffed full time had ozone strategies that were employed by closing off parts of the shelter temporarily, pumping ozone into them and then moving personnel back in the day afterwards to keep their surroundings healthy.

When you read about private civil defense over the past sixty years, this subject comes up again and again as "the reason the shelter became uninhabitable." Mold and mildew, fungus and spores proliferate in darkness and damp. You can't plan for the longer term as a Vault Dweller until you conquer this part of the equation and the key is through ozonation.

Fox News : Flashbang Grenade For The Sheeple

I was watching Glenn Beck on Fox News today and I felt sorry for everybody. I felt sorry for all of them because they are stupid enough to think that Fox News is a conservative news outlet. I felt sorry for them because they are stupid enough to believe Glenn Beck can get a paycheck every week from the owner of the network (the biggest NWO supervillain on the planet) and be sincerely guiding them all anywhere but down a blind alley.

Beck was talking with a bunch of stupid geriatric evangelists and they were all talking about the steps they would take to "get the guffamint back" and "restore honor" and a lot of of other gibberish that only a simpleton could utter without being shocked at what was coming out of his own mouth. I felt sorry for them because they were all hopelessly damned. Their viewers were hopelessly damned. The purpose of Fox News is identical to playing classical music in a slaughterhouse as the cattle climb the ramp to their appointments with the nailgun. It's a rage busybox for people with IQs below room temperature who actually fall for this fake conservative straw man rubbish from Hannity and O'Reilly and all the other shills on the network who are nothing but shabbas goy paid good money to distract their fellows while they are fleeced first and then exterminated.

As if Rupert Murdoch would allow anything on the air on his network but agitprop, fake opposition and bogus controversies that are nearly 180 degrees off topic every day of the year.

I felt sorry for everybody because they are dumb enough to believe all of this crap that is custom tailored to keep their feeble gentile brains off balance and flailing about swinging at shadows. I felt sorry for them because they could actually be programmed to believe that Islam would be a threat to them for longer than ten seconds if their countries were run by people who acted in their best interests. I felt sorry for them because they are so easily guiled and confused as a result of what vain bastards they all are inside. It is through their vanity that they are destroyed. If people as dumb as they are had put their faith in God instead of their own wisdom they would have persevered. It's their vanity that allows them to stripped of everything they owned and everything their ancestors owned and everything they ever had.

The 'Kwa is damned. It is damned to hell. Everyone who lives in it is damned to hell. This stupid and reprobate nation thinks God has to listen to their prayers. They should be so lucky. God does not hear the prayers of such people according to scripture. God does not love such people. He despises them and engineers events such that they get hoisted by their own petards. If God is your enemy, it doesn't matter who you call to assemble at your prayer committee. You're missing the only guest that belongs there.

I see both the people who live there and their oppressors and the one thing they all have in common is that they are all hopelessly damned. They are too proud to receive grace and they trust in their own counsel, a very bad strategy for a nation of people with an average IQ of 97. Everything else follows naturally to conspire towards their doom.

Where the 'Kwa is going, there ain't no coming back from. The talk of a recovery made me laugh 5 years ago when I first heard it. It still makes me laugh now. It's like the people of the Upper Congo talking about a recovery. The Upper Congo has nothing to recover from - it has nowhere to go. The magic that made the 'Kwa indomitable was in it's people and now it is inhabited entirely by the third world. There was never any enchanted gas that was exuded by the soil that made it special. There is nothing particularly special about the geography or position of the United States. The magic came from the people and now they are all gone. They left these idiots in their place.

Extinction Cycle : Manual Mode

The truth is, Nature doesn't need any help exterminating mankind like lice crawling on her scalp. That doesn't stop people from trying to pitch in.

The hoo-mans are struggling to beat the rush to the bottom of the boneyard and they're putting forward a fabulous effort but I reckon Nature will deliver the coup de grace.

China unloading ZOGBUX I.O.U.s - forever. They won't be any good after World War III anyhow.

Line up for those flu vaccinations like good sheeple

I always drink whatever strange substance the government hands me in a glass and actively encourage them to inject all kinds of unknown sh*t they received through a third party overseas directly into my bloodstream. It's all a part of scienmajific edjamafacation.

Convenient Foreshadowing In All Things

There's nothing better than being in place and set up for action the night before an unexpected massive terrorist attack takes place on your own soil. Even better to have a "drill" scheduled that day which is the actual scenario itself. Best of all, a script issued in advance to all participating media with appropriate times and sequences of events. Although, even the best laid plans of mice and Mossad sometimes go astray.

Got a 250 liter concrete mixer tonight!!

I've been in a slump since February, when my concrete mixer broke down after hundreds of hours of service and years of heavy duty right in the middle of a pour. This left me with my Sparkgap Quonset 70% complete, my forms standing and my rebar mesh rusting away. My recessed fuel depo was halted at waist high and now weeds are growing in the middle where the floor was supposed to go. This very same month, my laptop development machine crashed leaving me with source code stuck on the hard drive. I got a sore foot from plantar fascia, put on weight and was barely sleeping there for a while. I was getting so depressed I felt like I was looking at life from the bottom of a deep well.

I've lost 12 kgs, my foot is feeling better, I've been getting decent sleep. My blood pressure came down to normal and my resting pulse is an amazing 36 bpm. A dreaded physical checkup and complete blood work, which I expected would reveal me to be a toxic soup of heavy metals and poisons, exposed me as a hypochondriac of legendary proportions. My triglycerides and cholesterol levels were similar to those of a newborn infant. My general health was described by the doctor as an "anomaly" in a 48 year old she would not have believed if she had not examined me herself. Been exercising 5 days a week. Today I got my laptop back with source code intact and I got a new concrete mixer, 250 liters capacity with a far sturdier frame.

Here's the math. If a lunatic with a 62 liter mixer can pour several hundred cubic feet in four years and damn near build the equivalent of an underground metro for the generator/power facilities, what can this same lunatic accomplish with a 250 liter capacity mixer? I would guess a lot. I would guess that what once took me 8 hours of work on a Saturday I will now accomplish before noon and what used to take me a month to achieve I will now do in a day.
I'm going to finish Sparkgap, finish my fuel depo, finish Vault-OS and finish the three computer games I have been working on ... and I'm going to do all these things before the end of the year.
Somewhere in the churning coffee-grinder sound of a concrete mixer turning, there seems to me to be some whisper of hope. I can only say that there is a satisfaction in the walking that seems to be more important than the journey. Even the detours appear to have a worth in their own right towards illuminating the whole.

Capitalism Punishes Morons And Rewards The Good Guys

Too bad we have not lived in a capitalist country since the last century. We got improvementation instead.

The people who oppose true freedom of trade between honest men are the people who stand to benefit least because they have nothing to offer or crooks who are too lazy to make an honest living. Everybody else never wanted anything but same.

The self-repairing mechanisms are broken. This is a death cycle for the West and it won't be bouncing back this time.

Now You Tell Me

The mainstream media in 2010 is starting to sound like that nut over at Vault-Co back in 2002.

This is what they are willing to put into print. Imagine what they are not willing to say.

They claim satellites will be aged by 50 years, rendering GPS even more useless than ever, and the blast will have the equivalent energy of 100 million hydrogen bombs.

“We know it is coming but we don’t know how bad it is going to be,” Dr. Fisher told Mr Reneke in the
most recent issue of Australasian Science.

Dow Jones 5000 Soon

The Chinese are onto these clowns. They've figured out what has really been going on.

A nightmarish, Weimar Republic style deflation is right around the corner for the Kwa. The greenbacks will come in million dollar denominations and they'll be packed still warm in the plastic wrapper atop a wheelbarrel that you'll use to exchange for a loaf of bread.

When that crazy ride begins, you can bet that the State is going to search high and low for somebody to start a war with to take people's minds off their treachery at home. China and Russia are going to come out of the closet and all the globalist gibberish will fade into background noise as all three of these world powers start to build up their forces for World War III. (Ever wonder why we tell you that the coming war is going to be uglier than any sheeple can even imagine? Maybe we know something. Warfare has come a long way in 70 years.)

The real deficit is surreal and outside the ken of human comprehension

The Kwa Is A Nation Of Undead

You know nothing about modern "economics" until you understand this statement:

The banking system does not work on a system where deposits are the basis for fractional reserve. The banking system works on the basis of loans used as the collateral for more loans.

Read it again. If you don't know what is being talked about there, you will never be able to successfully predict what is going to happen next economically. Forget about what some egghead says about GDP versus wage gains. That's gibberish. It has nothing to do with anything of any significance at all.

The banking system does not work on a system where deposits are the basis for fractional reserve. The banking system works on the basis of loans used as the collateral for more loans.

Peasants Lose Habeas Corpus After 1000 Years Without A Shot Being Fired

They were too busy masturbating to tentacle porn and reading up on Lindsay Lohan's arraignment to notice this ancient right go soaring out the window with all their others. That's okay, because peasants are ordained by Providence to be the footstools of their rulers. Only humans can have rights. Farm beasts and other two-footed stock can only have grievances.

Vault-Co predicts the standing feud over what they can do with your carcass in Britonnia will end soon, with the government declaring eminent domain over the corpse of any bovine subject which drops inside the boundaries of the kingdom. There are people chomping at the bit to get at your organs when you die and they will open the floodgates for easy harvesting very shortly. When the bodies of sheeple hit room temperature, the doors will bust wide with the greedy like in ZORBA THE GREEK rushing forward with chainsaws and bone knives to divvy up the spoils. They'll take your eyes first, then throw the meat on the ground and let any free contractor get in there and fight for a profit share. Itz all part of the improvementation.

Kwanzania Is Dead But Not Too Broke To Fight

Ten years ago I gave you two scenarios, a couple of months before all this madness started with the destruction of the Twin Towers in New York City, an event that most of the world today believes (according to statistics) was carried out by elements in the U.S. and Israel as a false flag attack on their own soil.

1. In the first one, I told you that America could slip quietly into genteel poverty and slowly erode into third world status without trying to jumpstart their economy with a world war. By the time somebody thought to load and launch the tens of thousands of cobalt-tipped nuclear weapons in their arsenals, they would have rusted away so as to be harmless. The United States would descend into tribal anarchy, a 3000 mile wide flaming Bosnia-style ruin where you'd have to consult a street map to know what ethnicity you'd be fighting with on every block.

2. In the second one, America's psychotic rulers would enter into several regional wars that they would fan over time into all-out thermonuclear World War III, which would not run for a day but would continue for several years, with nuclear strikes and counterstrikes that would eventually depopulate most of the planet in the wake of very dirty fallout carried by the jetstream ... in addition to horrific biological and chemical weapons deployed mainly by nations against civilians in opposition countries, not military targets.

It's ten years later and I have to make a confession.

I only presented scenario #1 as an option because I thought this rose-colored glass, Pollyanna optimist feel-good claptrap might keep people reading long enough to get to scenario #2 and draw their own conclusion.

Scenario #1 was never going to happen.

Even Mr. Feelgood knows ITZ coming.

Marine ITZ Hitz

I don't know who "Sorcha Faal" really is or what their allegiance is. Some people say it's paid disinfo, others suggest that site is authentic. I think at least half of what you read there should be taken with a grain of salt.

I had heard a rumor they waxed Matthew Simmons because he knew the underwater dispersants being used to conceal the oil volcano in the Gulf were entering the North Atlantic. I had dismissed it as some pretty far-out conjecture.

Then a few days later, millions of dead fish, seals and other sea life began to float to the top, all dead as a doornail. There have been flora and fauna wipeouts as far away as Greenland.

I'd say something is going on. I'm not sure what. Read the article, file the information. The oceans were already in deep trouble but this could be the big extinction event that finally creams it as a food source altogether.

More reason than ever to finish a freshwater aquaculture manager for Vault-OS. My son and I are working on Koi catfish in a bathtub raised by a computer from cradle to plate, we're still in the research stage.

The Other News Not On The News

Just a few years ago it was so that when a meteorological extreme occurred, the phones would be ringing off the hook. Today hardly anyone calls; climate change has quasi become taboo. --Hans Joachim Schellnhuber, Chief Climate Advisor to Angela Merkel, 12 August 2010

Climate is no longer on the front pages, and is not viewed as an earth-moving topic. Nobody cares about it. Climate change has become a loser topic. And Angela Merkel wants nothing to do with it. --Editor Dagmar Dehmer, Panorama, 12 August 2010

[Britain’s government] coalition is watering down a commitment to tough new environmental emissions standards, raising the possibility of dirty coal-fired power stations such as Kingsnorth going ahead. 1) Economy First: Britain Puts Decarbonisation On Hold
Allegra Stratton, The Guardian, 16 August 2010
The coalition is watering down a commitment to tough new environmental emissions standards, raising the possibility of dirty coal-fired power stations such as Kingsnorth going ahead.
Green groups are aghast that a flagship policy called for in opposition by both Lib Dems and Tories, and which they last year tried to force on the Labour government, will now not be implemented in the coalition's first energy bill to be published this year.
Their criticism of the government's commitment to green issues follows news last week that nature reserves could be sold off as countryside protection measures also bear the brunt of budget cuts in the Department for Environment.
Introducing a so-called "environmental performance standard" (EPS) for power companies would have restricted greenhouse gas emissions from coal and gas plants and encouraged companies wishing to build to use more efficient technology.
The introduction of an EPS was personally championed by David Cameron, George Osborne and Nick Clegg when in opposition; their opposition to Kingsnorth became something of a cause célèbre – and even features in the coalition agreement – but was opposed by energy companies and Tory backbenchers.
The chief executive at one coal-plant operating company warned that the UK's renewable energy technology – which would be used to help new plants meet the target – was too undeveloped to make the EPS feasible.
Now government sources confirm they will not be bringing forward legislation in the autumn and will instead spend the summer working on "the larger picture". They will open a consultation on the idea in the autumn with the results being presented to parliament as a white paper in the new year.
Green campaigners believe this is noncommittal for a policy both parts of the coalition said could be implemented immediately when in opposition.
They believe a delay in the introduction of the standard until next year – with a few years for the legislation to pass through the house and for it to be set up – raises the possibility of new coal-fire power stations slipping through the system.
Greenpeace energy campaigner, Joss Garman, said: "David Cameron made the introduction of new rules to stop the most polluting power stations one of his flagship green policies, and Nick Clegg helped ensure it was a key part of the coalition agreement.
"Both Lib Dem and Conservative MPs voted for the introduction of such a measure just a few months ago, and if they U-turn on this and fail to put this measure into their new energy law, how can they claim to be the greenest government ever?"
The energy company Peel Power has already come forward with a proposal in Scotland to build a largely unabated coal plant.
The government's advisers, the Committee on Climate Change, said if the UK is to meet its climate targets it needs to decarbonise the whole power sector by 2030.
If the EPS is abandoned it would almost certainly reopen the debate about what the industry needs to change and encourage utilities to push forward with their original plans for a whole new fleet of dirty coal stations in the UK (the first to be built here for 30 years).
The consequences would be that the battle of Kingsnorth could be refought.

2) UK Government May Sell Off Met Office, Nature Reserves
John Vidal, Severin Carrell and Juliette Jowit, The Guardian, 13 August 2010
Some of the most beautiful areas of Britain could be sold off and wildlife and countryside protection measures cut to the bone to meet expected 40% cuts in the budget of the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, it emerged.
Among the plans being considered by the government, which once declared itself "the greenest ever", are selling off national nature reserves; privatising parts of the Forestry Commission; privatising the Met Office, one of the world's leading research organisations on climate change; and withdrawing grants to British Waterways, which manages 2,200 miles of canals and rivers.
Natural England, the government's principal nature conservation agency, has put forward 400 job cuts next year, and up to another 400 after that, potentially one third of its workforce.
There are also concerns that the Environment Agency, which looks after waterways, air and soil, will have to slash spending on pollution and waste controls and river protection after the environment secretary, Caroline Spelman, recently said she had made it "perfectly clear" that the government would maintain the level of spending on flood defences – which take up more than half the agency's budget.

3) Data Sharing: A Lesson For Climate Science
Gina Kolata, The New York Times, 13 August 2010
In 2003, a group of scientists and executives from the National Institutes of Health, the Food and Drug Administration, the drug and medical-imaging industries, universities and nonprofit groups joined in a project that experts say had no precedent: a collaborative effort to find the biological markers that show the progression of Alzheimer’s disease in the human brain.
Now, the effort is bearing fruit with a wealth of recent scientific papers on the early diagnosis of Alzheimer’s using methods like PET scans and tests of spinal fluid. More than 100 studies are under way to test drugs that might slow or stop the disease.
And the collaboration is already serving as a model for similar efforts against Parkinson’s disease. A $40 million project to look for biomarkers for Parkinson’s, sponsored by the Michael J. Fox Foundation, plans to enroll 600 study subjects in the United States and Europe.
The work on Alzheimer’s “is the precedent,” said Holly Barkhymer, a spokeswoman for the foundation. “We’re really excited.”
The key to the Alzheimer’s project was an agreement as ambitious as its goal: not just to raise money, not just to do research on a vast scale, but also to share all the data, making every single finding public immediately, available to anyone with a computer anywhere in the world.

4) New Paper: Sea Level Rise Not Accelerating
The Hockey Schtick, 14 August 2010
A paper published yesterday in the Journal of Geophysical Research - Oceans, confirms other studies of tide gauge records which show that there has been no statistically significant acceleration in sea level rise over the past 100+ years, in contrast to statements of the IPCC and Al Gore. Sea levels have been rising naturally since the end of the last major ice age 20,000 years ago, and the rate of rise began to decelerate about 8,000 years ago:
JOURNAL OF GEOPHYSICAL RESEARCH, VOL. 115, C08013, 15 PP., 2010: Reconstruction of regional mean sea level anomalies from tide gauges using neural networks
Authors: Manfred Wenzel, Jens SchröterThe 20th century regional and global sea level variations are estimated based on long-term tide gauge records. For this the neural network technique is utilized that connects the coastal sea level with the regional and global mean via a nonlinear empirical relationship. Two major difficulties are overcome this way: the vertical movement of tide gauges over time and the problem of what weighting function to choose for each individual tide gauge record. Neural networks are also used to fill data gaps in the tide gauge records, which is a prerequisite for our analysis technique. A suite of different gap-filling strategies is tested which provides information about stability and variance of the results. The global mean sea level for the period January 1900 to December 2006 is estimated to rise at a rate of 1.56 ± 0.25 mm/yr which is reasonably consistent with earlier estimates, but we do not find significant acceleration. The regional mean sea level of the single ocean basins show mixed long-term behavior. While most of the basins show a sea level rise of varying strength there is an indication for a mean sea level fall in the southern Indian Ocean. Also for the the tropical Indian and the South Atlantic no significant trend can be detected. Nevertheless, the South Atlantic as well as the tropical Atlantic are the only basins that show significant acceleration. On shorter timescales, but longer than the annual cycle, the basins sea level are dominated by oscillations with periods of about 50–75 years and of about 25 years. Consequently, we find high (lagged) correlations between the single basins.Note: The 1.56 mm/yr non-accelerating rate of sea level rise would result in sea levels 6 incheshigher than the present in100 years. The oscillations noted in this study correspond to the typical full and half-cycle lengths of the natural Pacific Decadal Oscillation and the natural 60-yearclimate cycle. The Pacific Decadal Oscillation warm phase has been shown to produce a marked temporary rise in global mean sea levels.

5) Climate Weather: Cool And Getting Colder
Terence Corcoran, Financial Post, 13 August 2010
From Washington to Cancun to British Columbia, the climate issue is heading for the deep freeze.
And now for the climate weather: It may be hot outside, but the political environment for climate science is in a deep freeze. In Washington, plans for a national carbon-trading system are colder than the ice in the mint juleps at the Round Robin Bar. The economy comes first in the U.S. Senate, where a new climate bill ran into a brick wall, putting an end to environmentalists’ hopes for a national cap-and-trade system any time in the next few years. “We fell victim to much broader politics that were beyond our control,” said a leading green activist.
In Bonn last weekend, climate politics got so cold that negotiators working on a new global climate treaty to replace the soon-to-expire Kyoto Protocol walked away from the talks, saying that the policy direction was going backward rather than forward. As part of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Control, the Bonn talks were aiming at recovering from last year’s Cop-out in Copenhagen. “These negotiations have if anything gone backwards,” said Connie Hedegaard, the EU’s climate action commissioner. The world is still divided over — among other issues — carbon-emission reduction targets, without which any convention would be useless. Another attempt to regroup will take place in China in October in preparation for a grand Meeting of the Parties in Cancun, Mexico, in December.
Forecast for sunny Cancun in December: Pack a parka.
Meanwhile, across parts of the United States and Canada, the Western Climate Initiative is struggling to keep its agenda alive. Made up of California, Arizona, Montana, New Mexico, Utah, Oregon, Washington, Manitoba, Quebec, Ontario and British Columbia, the WCI recently produced a formal “design” for a market-based system that would cap carbon emissions in member states and provinces. The caps would be based on emissions allowances issued in each jurisdiction, but which could be applied through the WCI group and freely traded on open markets.
The design agreement looks dense and is filled with regulatory proposals and enough busy work to keep bureaucrats in each member state and province fully occupied for years to come. Fortunately, the WCI initiative hasn’t a chance of coming into existence. Many of the member states, notably California, are in the midst of gubernatorial elections and the climate issue isn’t exactly top of mind among voters. Arizona and Nevada are already reported to be opting out of the WCI, with Montana possibly set to follow. New Mexico’s continued adherence to the initiative is also doubtful following the coming November elections.
As for the Canadian provinces, their participation in the WCI has always been a political mystery, given the improbability of, say, Quebec and Ontario getting into a compulsory carbon-control regime and trading system in conjunction with far-off states such as California and New Mexico. Cap-and-trade programs across borders present international trade issues that are irreconcilable between states and provinces. There are also trade and development issues within each country. A cap-and-trade regime between B.C. and Ontario that damaged Alberta’s industrial development would be highly divisive, if not legally suspect.
The trade risks are well known. Ottawa has said it will only adopt cap-and-trade in conjunction with the United States. Since the United States now will not have a system, nor will Canada. Any provincial pacts that are not part of a national Canadian system make no economic sense.
WCI forecast: All member plans will freeze in the dark.

6 ) Indur Goklany: Global Death Toll From Extreme Weather Events Declining
The GWPF Observatory, 15 August 2010
A Primer on the Global Death Toll from Extreme Weather Events — Context and Long Term(1900–2008) Trends
Background
Based on 2000–08 data, extreme weather events are responsible for about 0.05% of all global deaths (31,700 deaths vs. 58.8 million, annually). That is, despite the media attention to such events, extreme weather events have a minor impact on global public health.
Long term (1900–2008) data show that average annual deaths and death rates from all such events declined by 93% and 98%, respectively, since cresting in the 1920s (Figure 1). These declines occurred despite a vast increase in the populations at risk and more complete coverage of extreme weather events (Figure 2). [...]
Summary
Whether the magnitude or frequency of extreme weather events has increased because of global warming is not evident from long term data on deaths and death rates from extreme weather events.
In any case this issue is secondary to the fact that casualties from all such events have been reduced by over an order of magnitude in the past decades.
These reductions are due in large part to factors that contribute to greenhouse gas emissions.
Reducing these emissions through efforts to make fossil fuel energy scarcer and more expensive could, therefore, be counterproductive in humanity’s efforts to limit death and disease from not only such events but also other, far more significant sources of adversity.

7) Climate Change In Germany Has Become “A Loser Topic”

The German European Institute For Climate and Environment (EIKE) brings our attention to a report by the publicly funded NDR German television news show Panorama concerning the state of climate science and politics today in Germany. If you’re a climate activist, things just couldn’t be worse.
NDR Panorama report on Germany”s mood with regards to climate change (in German).
In summary the topic of climate change in Germany has gone far beyond its shelf-life. It is used up and no longer draws a bit of interest from the public. As the clip shows, the German public has grown tired of the constant barrage of climate alarmism, and is now über-bored by it. Editors have since taken climate news off the front pages. The public doesn’t want to hear it anymore, the editors fret.
At 0:36 of the clip, normal citizens are asked about climate change. The reaction: they couldn’t care less about it. Indeed some even say warmer is better. Climate change? No worries at all!
The depth of public apathy has left climate activists and experts like Professor doom & gloom Hans Joachim Schellnhuber frustrated, depressed and resigned. Schellnhuber at the 1:39 mark:
Just a few years ago it was so that when a meteorological extreme occurred, the phones would be ringing off the hook. Today hardly anyone calls; climate change has quasi become taboo.
Nobody wants to talk about it. And after the disaster that was Copenhagen, neither do the political leaders. In Schellnhuber’s view, the optimism of achieving a climate treaty is gone. That was clearly visible at the recent UN Climate Conference in Bonn. Says Karsten Sach, leader of the German Negotiating Delegation:
Everyone knows we’ve reached a dead-end.
The media has lost interest in reporting on the constant failure by policymakers. At the 3.56 mark, accompanied by gloomy music, a chart shows how the number of reports on climate change appearing in three major centre-left newspapers has dwindled. The hype is over. The public is fatigued, fed up, and disinterested.
Editor Dagmar Dehmer of Berlin’s Der Tagesspiegel says somberly:
Editors know the topic is important, but it’s not topic no. 1 at the moment. Climate is no longer on the front pages, and is not viewed as an earth-moving topic.
The video clip then moves to a car-tuning meet, where one auto-tuning enthusiast says:
Nobody cares about it.
And what about Chancellor Angela Merkel? Climate change has become a thorn in her side. She associates the issue with failure and hopelessness. Says Tagesspiegel editor Dagmar Dehmer at the 5:38 mark:
Climate change has become a loser topic. And Angela Merkel wants nothing to do with it.
Yet, Merkel’s minister of environment insists that climate change is an important topic for the future.
For the future, yes. But not for today. The report ends with relaxed vacationers chuckling when asked by the journalists about the threats of climate change.

8) And Finally: One Of Our Hemispheres Is Missing!
NoTricksZone, 13 August 2010
The earth’s southern hemisphere is now in the winter season, and it is proving to be a severe one. There have been many deaths of people, animals, fish, and crops. But you haven’t heard about that from the northern hemisphere media.
As far as the media is concerned, there is no southern hemisphere. All the media coverage is about fires in Russia, Arctic ice melting, glaciers calving icebergs, heat waves on the U. S. east coast, and other “weather” occurrences up north. So let me bring you up to date on the highlights from down south.
June 17, 2010, “500 African penguins freeze to death in South Africa”.“Nearly 500 rare African Penguins have died in the past 24 hours as a result of extremely cold weather in South Africa’s Eastern Cape province.” Here
July 19, 2010, “South Africa, Freezing Cold destroys several 100 (sic) Solar Thermal Systems”. Here
August 5, 2010, “Snow in Brazil, below zero Celsius in the River Plate and tropical fish frozen”. Here.
August 6, 2010, “Chilly in Chile: South America Hit by Cold Snap”. Here,Here, and HereTemperatures in eastern Bolivia fell to 0° Celsius. Fish in rivers that normally flow at 20° C froze to death in water temperatures down to 6° C. Millions of fish, turtles, reptiles, and birds have died, the river waters are undrinkable, and the government closed them to fishing for at least a year. Normally these winter cold snaps last for a few days at a time. This “Surazos” (a cold wind from Argentina) lasted for 8 days.
The total death toll among people and animals across Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay, and southern Brazil is rising. A meter of snow across Patagonia and along the Andes is hampering communications. Many people have died across southern South America, and the livestock toll is in the millions. True numbers won’t be known until the snow melts.
Citrus and avocado crops in Chile have been damaged by frosts, and fruit exports may be reduced by 40%.
August 9, 2010, “Australians shiver through the coldest winter morning in 30 years.”“Sydney was blanketed in frost on Wednesday as the city shivered through the coldest June morning in nearly 30 years, with temperatures at just 4C (39F).” Here
Meanwhile, the Southern Ocean ice cover is 1.3 million square kilometers above the mean value (1979 to 2008, since measurements began), and growing. This balances out the Arctic ice cover, giving us a global ice cover of almost 20 million square kilometers. See WUWT Ice Page Here.
These reports are from local sources. The mainstream media rule seems to be “If it doesn’t support our agenda, don’t report it.” For their practical purposes, the globe stops at the equator. Not only do they shut out scientific dissent, but also the cold hard facts from half the globe.

Terminal Madness of the End Times #99

Oh, the next manned moon mission to scout for helium three on the dark side is a done deal, folks. The edjumafacated peeple are working on it even now as we speak.

No seriously, it will really happen. Whatnot and what have you.

The Western world couldn't mount a mission to the nearest 7-11 and be trusted with a fiver to pick up some potato chips and coke.

The Detonation Has Yet To Occur

People laboring under the mistaken assumption that this is the worst of it now are living in a dreamworld.

The entire planet has been Bernie Madoff'ed. The operating capital of most of the world's private enterprise is tied up in derivatives.

Just as shortfalls caused American investors to draw on the "fund" Madoff was "managing" for them, revealing the magnitude of his scam, the shortfalls now in national budgets are causing the very wealthy to draw on "derivatives" to get some real cash in hand instead of words on a piece of paper. Worldwide, investors are inquiring if they can "cash in" some "derivatives" profits.

There is nothing there to cash in.

Whereas Madoff's ripoff was measured in billions of dollars, the "derivatives market" consists of quadrillions of dollars which exist on paper but otherwise exist nowhere else.

Imagine what is going to happen during the next six months when accounts are called on these funds. It is going to be apocalyptic, nothing less.

Kwa = Absolutely 100% Doomed

As the entire U.S. economy melts down in what can only be described as complete disintegration, you will have some useful idiots declaring to the bitter end that all this will get better someday.

They are basing their optimism on the series of miracles achieved by a race of men with an average IQ of 104-112 from the years 1776 up to the present day. They seemed to be indomitable. They always seemed to bounce back. It was like magic at times. No matter what happened to the nation, as long as these people were having babies, their children appeared to be capable of sorting it out in the end.

That won't happen this time. The magic goes away. The long curtain of darkness that is descending will not lift again on another act. It will not lift again, forever.

It is realistic to expect conditions no better than those that prevail in Mexico from now on for the United States. Forever. Where the 'Kwa is going, there ain't no coming back from.

The Deadly Cold And Darkness Approaching

When the sun goes quiet, 30% more cosmic radiation gets through to hit the earth's mantle, creating cloud cover that in turns further blocks solar heat and radiation. This is a self-accelerating, self-initiating process which is not a violation of thermodynamics as global warming theory has always been.

If you look at the Milankovitch cycle, we're on the edge of a temperature precipice. We are about to go through a rapid decline in average temperatures that will be an apocalyptic rollercoaster ride to the bottom. This isn't a little 'i' Ice Age. It's a real Ice Age, capital 'I' for indescribable.

We are only at the beginning but we are starting to go over the crest.

Confirmation : Ice Age Redux Killed Bolivia's Rivers

Worldwide, millions of crying leftist babies with mascara running squealing this must somehow be the fault of human beings. Alas, no. Leftist paradigms for reality = fail.

In one night, Mother Nature was able to destroy what man could not in two hundred years of industry.

This constitutes an apocalyptic keeper, this story. Remember this event as a crucial moment when even the dumbest people in the world began to realize something very strange was happening to the planet.

You ain't seen nothing yet. Vault-Co was here before all of 'em. Believe it when we say this is only the beginning. This is anecdotal. Wait until you wake up and hear on the televitz that a million people in the cities have frozen to death overnight and then we'll be in the sweet spot for the new Ice Age.

What makes me so sure of myself? How do I know these things with such certainty? I have control over the magic power of reading, a lost art amongst the Kwanzanian people. I can read, learn, remember, make associations - it's akin to powerful sorcery in the modern world. It's like the ability to recommend that we put toilet water on plants to help them grow. Ordinary people are baffled by this incredible power. I first looked at this chart back in 1998. I then read THE COMING SUPERSTORM by kooks Art Bell and Whitley Strieber. I saw the implications of what they were saying in that book. I knew what was coming was absolutely inevitable. In 1999 I resolved to build a shelter.

Screenshots At VAULT-OS

I think I have posted the first screenshots I have ever taken of both VOS-16 and VOS-32 running together at the same time networked together and both hooked up to a DB4 database on a shared drive.

I'm doing good. I'm like a mechanic who has the engine out all over the floor at 3:30pm but still manages to have the thing back together and ready for the customer to pick up at 5:00 after work. It probably looks like it's not in very good shape but in reality I am doing a lot of hardcore testing now with different configurations to make sure they are all performing well. For example, I am even throwing in a module with the VOS-16 version that allows you to talk to an ASCII driven serial interface to an I2C sensor network. That takes time to debug and test but it's all looking pretty solid.

One thing I am really happy about is that I have a true development environment to properly test and refine in, where formerly I used to crawl down into the shelter and plug in a compact flash card to update the computer. That wasn't working too good in the deployment. I am getting it right this time, instead of just "working" for me alone. This is necessary in order to share it with other people.

Western Economy Should Bounce Back ... Never

I'll just throw a round figure out there. "About five years." Maybe "about ten years." Or first thing off the top of my head "about yay long or so."

How about never.

Australia and New Zealand are going to maintain a decent standard of living and intact economies much longer than anywhere else because of their capacity for self-sufficiency. As for the rest of the Western world, it's done. It won't be bouncing back.

Britain, Europe and America have no critical mass of human capital left and to quote Lothrup Stoddard ... we could lose all our bridges, buildings and infrastructure to rubble and yet we would rebuild it in ten years if we still had our best genetic stock. If we lost those sharp faculties of perception and problem solving to dissolution then we could not rebuild any of it given a thousand years.

It took countless millennia of natural selection to produce the high water mark of postwar 1950s America and only a couple generations to lose it all. Once lost, it's not something that is going to come back. Not for a long, long time. There will be a new "normal" and the Kwans will discover it is "normal" for another family of men, not their own.

Just in time, a new Ice Age arrives to demonstrate how nature separates the wheat from the chaff. This is not a man's doing, nor something you can protest or sue against for discrimination. Nature has her own truth and it is different from that of Kwanzanians. Rudyard Kipling's Gods of the Copybooks have opened the page again and are waiting for mankind to take up their pencils for another lesson.

THE EMPEROR OF ICE CREAM : 6 Million Dead Dolphins, Gators & Turtles In Bolivia

Over 1 million fish and thousands of alligators, turtles, dolphins and other river wildlife are floating dead in numerous Bolivian rivers in the three eastern/southern departments of Santa Cruz, Beni and Tarija. The extreme cold front that hit Bolivia in mid-July caused water temperatures to dip below the minimum temperatures river life can tolerate. As a consequence, rivers, lakes, lagoons and fisheries are brimming with decomposing fish and other creatures.

Unprecedented: Nothing like this has ever been seen in this magnitude in Bolivia. Inhabitants of riverside communities report the smell is nauseating and can be detected as far as a kilometer away from river banks. River communities, whose livelihoods depend on fishing, fear they'll run out of food and will have nothing to sell. Authorities are concerned there will be a shortage of fish in markets and are more concerned by possible threats to public health, especially in communities that also use river water for bathing and drinking, but also fear contaminated or decaying fish may end up in market stalls. They've begun a campaign to ensure market vendors and the public know how to tell the difference between fresh and unhealthy fish.

In university fish ponds and commercial fisheries the losses are also catastrophic.

Hear that quiet in the Western media? Not a whisper about this apocalyptic phenomenon. Isn't that the reason we have "news?" So we can get the "news?"

BP Blackout : What Is Happening Down There?!?

The Gulf was created by a previous methane hydrate explosion which was an extinction event. Are we certain the last blowout cleared that gas or has it been building up for millions of years since? Is it now bigger than the first time it exploded with the force of a 400 megaton thermonuclear weapon?

BP has been caught running fake feeds to hide the real action at the sea floor. Why on earth would they do that?!? What is happening down there must be worse than anything they have admitted to.

Recap From 2005 : Magnetic Reversal

This is worth reprinting. It was relevant five years ago but has become absolutely mandatory reading in the Vault-Co catechism now. Amazing what a difference five years can make, isn't it?

We started work on our shelter ten years ago because we knew about this very situation long ago before it hit any mainstream periodicals. We knew we were headed into a new Ice Age and that Ice Ages hit rapidly, sometimes in days not millennia. We knew that the transitions into new Ice Ages are always accompanied by volcanism and tectonic movements. We knew that the beginnings of Ice Ages often feature changes in the magnetic field that are disturbingly close to extinction events in the geological record. We knew that unprecedented changes were taking place in the outer atmosphere that clearly showed we were entering a new Maunder Minimum.

We knew about all of these things but we didn't really know exactly what it all meant until we read Robert Felix's excellent book.

Please ignore the eerie apocalyptic lights in the sky at night, people. Nothing to see here, keep moving along. Go to your day jobs and keep those tax revenues coming in so we can finish our own vaults.

Ordinary people have very short memories. They cannot remember it if it happened last week. Even if it did happen, if it isn't emphasized by their media it won't be retained, won't stick in their consciousness. Even when retained, they won't be able to make associative connections with other bits of information. They are always doomed to be surprised by everything.

I'm always stunned when people ask me what makes me so sure something is happening on this planet. It's like they were asking me what makes me so sure that we should put toilet water on plants instead of Brawndo. If the average person could remember anything that happened over fifteen minutes ago, they wouldn't need to ask.

2010 : The Widening Gyre

Treason from within is the worst kind.

Congressman Brags : ‘The Federal Government Can Do Most Anything in This Country’

Time for the ballot box or the bullet box?

Government has no sympathy for it's own citizens who are rapidly at the mercy of foreign hostiles

People form nations to organize the protection of women, children and property from external threats. When the government stops serving this purpose, it stops serving it's purpose, period.

Waiting lines for exit strategies

Anarchy coming to America soon

It's going to be the mother of all bongo parties.
